No matter how long I live in Texas, my style with always be East Coast at heart. I recently discovered an adorable wedding blog showcasing all things love and lobster. (No, Mom, I am not getting married anytime soon.)

A lobster-themed reception

Coincidentally, I also just happened upon the website of insanely-talented artist Shelley Hesse and fell in love with her beautiful sea-inspired work. Shelley is currently collaborating with Anthropologie to create pieces for the home inspired by her artwork. Her first project: a watercolor painting (you guessed it, a lobster), re-imagined as a rug. I can’t wait to see more.

Sadly, would clash horribly with my cowhide rug :(
All motivated to host a lobster bake and enforce a strict striped dress code, I began searching for other ways to get my East Coast style fix. (This led to an absurd tangent of lobster-googling, which I am NOT ashamed to say took up most of my Friday night.) Now I just need a summer house in Maine so that I can begin my lobster collection.
