Turns out I should have named this blog Martha’s Vineyard Style because I clearly have not embraced southern style…yet.
I’ve had my eye on this Crate and Barrel beaut for a few weeks now, but could not bring myself to purchase a completely useless (except for admiration purposes) accessory for $180.
I stopped in to buy a few necessities — laundry detergent, toothpaste, Cheetos — since they have great deals and the place is always empty (sorry, Target, but your lines were just too long to handle for this impatient girl who just wanted to satisfy her Cheetos craving). Instead of heading straight for the aisle which holds necessities, I decided to browse the home decor section. AND THERE IT WAS.
Not exactly the yacht I envisioned standing against the perfect backdrop of our nautical American flag, but when I saw the name — U.S.S. Constitution — I knew Alex would approve the purchase, so instant gratification was mine! With my hands now full, and my wallet only $15 lighter, I skipped out of the store, completely forgetting the reason for my trip. Laundry will have to wait. I have a ship to display!
