Today’s afternoon art is another infographic — a bit disjointed, but I wanted to share it anyway because it’s something I’m very interested in. A few weeks ago, I began eating mostly paleo (about 80%). Basically, it’s eating the way our ancestors did (meats, veggies, a little fruit, and some nuts — that’s it). Ok, full disclosure, Saturdays are “cheat days” and I go all out.
I’m not going to go into all of the paleo the details here because this chart gives a nice overview and provides lots of great links to research, blogs, and other people who know way more than I do about it. I’ll be the first to admit it sounds a little crazy. I don’t do diets. Also, I can’t fathom a world without chips and Sour Patch Kids.
To keep this short, I’ll just say this: yesterday, I opened a package of SPKs, ate one, and threw the rest away. Major news in the life of an SPK-addict. And now I’m sold. I’d love to talk with anyone else who’s interested in or who has tried the paleo way of eating. So far, I’m loving it!

Some of these things I have. Some of them I will never have. That’s just the way life goes, I suppose. Here’s what I’d like to be in my office right now, except that if it were true, I wouldn’t have an office because I would have spent my rent money on a lucite bin.
I don’t think I will ever tire of these Rube-Goldberg-type contraptions. The science behind them…the time it takes to build them…the anticipation while watching them…it’s incredible. This one combines my love of the complex machines with my all-time favorite store — Target! What’s not to love?
