The Wall Street Journal
I am excited to share a recent project I designed that was distributed as an insert in The Wall Street Journal!
Blue Ribbon News, a Dallas-based “good news” organization
24-page glossy insert
4-color offset printing
This was pretty much my dream project with my dream clients. They were seriously the nicest and most easygoing people I have ever worked with, and anyone in this field knows how few and far between those types of clients are. I had control over the layout and design (staying within the client’s brand and catering to the WSJ audience, of course). The insert was made up of several feature articles and a few ads, to create a complete magazine-style piece. This is my favorite type of print material to design because it requires a cohesive theme — design elements that carry throughout the piece to make it all come together (thank you, high school yearbook class!). I was also able to have a little fun with it and use some bold typography and large photo spreads. The result is a modern professional profile showcasing businesses that are doing the right thing — something I am very proud to have helped share throughout my community. We received amazing feedback and plan to make this a quarterly project. I can’t wait to get started on the next one!
