Dogs Are People, Too
What’s better than drinks with friends? Drinks with man’s best friend, of course.
Calling Dallas a dog-friendly city is an understatement. Perry is welcomed with butt scratches and treats everywhere from the local liquor store to the Gap. So, it was only a matter of time before this happened.
Introducing Mutts Canine Cantina, Dallas’ first dog-park-meets-restaurant-meets-beer-garden, celebrating its grand opening today. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a casual, open-air park, this place is sure to draw the Uptown crowd and furry families from afar.
During a short stroll around the grounds with my handsome little man, friendly employees greeted us with smiles and treats. They pointed out the two dog lawns — one for the under-30-pound crowd, the other for the big guys — as well as a future dog-wash area, a house-made margarita machine, and a menu that includes doggie desserts. The only question I still have: Why didn’t I think of this?
If you’re a fan of dogs, beer, and patio dining, grab your leash and head to Mutts. Walk quickly or you’ll miss out on $1 drafts — today only!
