Happy Friday! I will be relaxing for a few days in Florida and taking some time off from blogging. Believe it or not, this is my first vacation ever without my laptop! I’m excited (and a little nervous) to get away from it all! I’m leaving you with a beautiful collection of watercolor paintings inspired by the Sunshine State. Be sure to check out the artists on Etsy (links below). See you all next week :)

1. Key West Map by Jocelyn’s Inkwell
2. Three Florida Pelicans by artistannie
3. Tall Pink and Handsome by kristensimons
4. Sea Turtle by Sarah Rosedahl
5. Manatee by Teri Kman
6. Rosemary Beach Street Scene by LeshasArtShop
7. Iguana by Manukaman

These Are Things

On 12, Mar 2012 | No Comments | In Artists | By Lane

Jen Adrion and Omar Noory run a travel-inspired design studio and shop out of Columbus, OH. These Are Things was born out of a desire for a beautiful, simple world map that did not exist in 2009 — so they created it. I have been admiring their work ever since, and am happy to announce that their State Side Prints are on sale over at Fab.com today! I’m torn between getting Virginia or Texas – it’s hard to decide which one to call “home” now. I think that means I’ll just have to get both :)

Golden Condor

Happy Monday! This shot of Anna Dello Russo makes me smile. A renowned fashion editor (who dresses slightly like Big Bird) still has to check her hair before getting her photo taken. Also, I own that same silly eyeball ring. I’ve had it since I was about eight years old and for whatever reason, it has remained in my little keepsake box for many years. Who knows where it came from or why I decided it was worth saving, but now I’m glad I did because apparently it’s back in style :)

P.S. I have a very exciting post coming up later this week, but I have to first sit down and figure out how to put my emotions into words. I can’t wait to share!
